Kristen Marrah was raised in Northern Rhode Island in the early 1980's. As a child she was always getting into her mother's makeup. In college she was the go-to girl for going out makeup. While in college she realized being a teacher was not her true calling and left school to pursue her passion: making women feel amazing, confident, and gorgeous. In spring of 2005, she attended Rob Roy Academy. She soon learned that makeup is only one aspect of beauty - it all begins with great skin care. While utilizing her knowledge as a licensed skin care therapist and skills as a makeup artist, she is dedicated to the full package. Kristen continues her education through International Dermal Institute (IDI), Dermalogica, IBS NYC shows, the Powder Group (TGP) and MacPro classes to boost her expertise in new products, techniques and trends. She received her 100 hour post graduate degree from IDI in 2009. In 2010 a distant dream became a reality when she opened Gloss & Glamour. Kristen says, "It's crazy how everything transpired. I was swept up in a whirl wind and I'm still twisting...but its all more then I had ever imagined!"

Laura Turcotte Rothwell recently married the man of her dreams and became Mrs. Rothwell. She grew up in the suburbs of Massachusetts in the 1980's. Ever since she was a little girl she loved styling hair, whether it was dolls like Barbie or Cabbage Patch Kids, friends, or her own...each style was lets say 'unique'. It was then she knew where her career path would lead. After graduating high school in 2003, she immediately applied to Paul Mitchell The School in Rhode Island. After graduation in November of 2004, she became licensed and has been designing hair ever since. "I can honestly say that I love what I do. I have even told some of my clients that I think I get more excited about their hair then they do. I can't describe the feeling that comes over me when I know a client loves their hair. There's nothing better than knowing you made someone feel good about the way they look no matter how they were feeling before they walked through those salon doors. So if you'll let me, I'd love to do your hair." -Laura
Chelsea Gauvin
Chelsea has loved hair & make-up since she was a little girl. Raised in a family of all girls, it became second nature to her. All through high school, to her friends, she was known for her hair. Changing the cut & color almost every single month was not a surprise to them. After graduating and trying a semester at CCRI, she realized that the beauty industry was her calling. She loved playing with hair, and making others look completely different. She attended Toni & Guy hairdressing academy from 2010 to 2011. "I love the rush it gives me when I create an idea in my head and execute it! I just love making people feel amazing!" Even though she's new to the game, she has a lot of fire in her, and is willing to dive right in.
